About

Hi all! For those of you that do not know me,  my name is Steve Heinisch and I live in New Haven, CT. I have been fascinated with the weather since I was about 8 years old.

It all started on a family vacation in Truro, MA during the summer of ’91. While we were on vacation, Hurricane Bob developed and headed straight for the northeast! It was during this time that I started tracking the storm from its infancy stage to full-grown hurricane status. I was lucky enough  (or not so lucky depending on who you ask) to watch the hurricane’s eye move straight over head! It was from there that I was taken with the weather, and as you can see the rest is history.

My love and fascination with the weather has just grown over the years and I finally have a chance to get out all the feelings and things I have been wanting to say.  This blog is about my predictions and forecasts based on a number of different resources. I hope everybody enjoys it and can learn and appreciate the weather from it.

This blog will also encompass all things going on in the world from sports to major news stories, or whatever else i feel like blabbering about…

I should also let you know that I will mainly be focusing on the weather for New England only.  Especially my home state of Connecticut, but also places I travel frequently like Vermont and Cape Cod. If anybody lives outside the Northeast and would like some weather insight on their forecast or any other questions at all, please don’t be afraid to ask..

I hope everyone finds this useful and keeps coming back for more! -SS
